1955

The company A.C. Becker was founded by Friedrich Becker's two sons August and Carl in 1921. Friedrich Becker is the inventor of the clay court. In 1898, he built the world's first pitch in Bad Homburg with a red brick dust ceiling, the first clay court (DE: Sandplatz), as we call it today.

After the production factor, which was destroyed by firebombs in February 1945, had to be painstakingly rebuilt, Becker did not start producing rackets again until 1950. One of the first to make in the 1950th was the famous Becker Rot-Weiss.
