Slazenger “The Renshaw”. The racquet model was produced between 1885 and 1918 as a tribute to the Wimbledon champions Ernest and William Charles Renshaw, with William securing six consecutive titles between 1881 and 1886. Over the decades, the frame design underwent significant changes, progressing from a square form to a round head with a flat top, and ultimately adopting the oval standard.

Ralph and Albert Slazenger founded the company in London in 1881 after relocating from Manchester. Ernest Renshaw was ranked world No. 1 and claimed twelve Major titles during his career. A right-handed player, he was renowned for his power and technical precision, qualities that placed him ahead of his contemporaries. Renshaw shared the all-time male record of seven Wimbledon singles titles with American Pete Sampras until 2017, when Roger Federer achieved his eighth singles title. His six consecutive singles victories remain an enduring record.
